APPRAISAL INFORMATION

To insure higher value items you need to have them scheduled on your homeowners or renters insurance policy, which means a complete descriptions and value of each item must be listed on your insurance policy. We offer a complete appraisal service on most any style of jewelry.
WHAT SHOULD I HAVE APPRAISED
It’s different for everyone. The best advice is talk to your agent and determine what you are insuring against, theft or loss. Remember, if your deductible is $200 and you lose a $200 piece, you’re out of luck. However, if you are robbed and lose ten $200 items then you are covered for the $2,000 less the $200 deductible. So keep in mind both loss and theft when deciding what to have appraised and insured.
HOW MUCH DO APPRAISALS COST
The fee structure for written appraisals is listed below. However, keep in mind that there is no charge for our advice in determining if items are worth appraising.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
it can take as long as a month, or be as quick as a couple of days. Our business depends on you so we will get it done when you need it. Keep in mind the more time you can give us the better. We never know what challenges we will encounter so don’t wait until the last minute to get started. If you plan on giving or using a piece on a certain date, have us complete it early and we can keep it in our safe until you need it.
CAN YOU DUPLICATE A RING FROM A PICTURE
Yes we can! With our state of the art cad-cam design software we can duplicate any design you bring us. The great thing about our custom design service is you get high quality Merchandise at substantial savings in designer brand prices. Bring in a picture from a catalog or off the internet and we will make it for less.
WHAT’S THE PROCESS FOR HAVING A PIECE MADE?
We listen to you, figure out what your ideas are and what you want to make. Sometimes it is necessary for us to do drawings or patterns in wax or metal. After you approve the design and pattern we can have the piece completed in about a week. Start to finish, most jewelry items are completed in three weeks.
WHAT ARE MY CHOICES OF METALS?
We work with Platinum, White, Rose and Yellow Gold of all karats and Sterling Silver. We cannot (yet) mill titanium, stainless steel or carbide. Many of our customers choose to combine metals such as a white gold ring with a platinum prong or by choosing two different color of metals to make a two tone ring. Please feel free to inquire about any metal choice you are interest in and we will try to accommodate.
WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE FINISHED PIECE?
Our end goal is to make sure you are happy! If you don’t like what we make, we will redo it. Remember this, if you are happy with what we make then you will tell your friends. If we custom make a piece and have to redo it (with a smile) you’re twice as likely to tell your friends. So we treat this a extreme customer service and make it our job to do everything to make you happy with your jewelry purchase.

Almost everyday we hear someone say, “My ring is so dull. I don’t like it anymore.” This can mean a number of things. The ring is old and worn, the stones are dirty, or you’re simply tired of the design. Not to worry, we can help! Look below and read about the benefits of our jewelry refinishing services.
HOW DO YOU DETERMINE WHAT JEWELRY NEEDS TO BE RE-FINISHED?
It can mean almost anything from a simple polishing to a total rebuild. During a typical day at Rodeo Jewelers we clean and check alot of jewelry items for our customers. We check the condition of prongs, stone tightness, shank thickness and many other things. Sometimes a simple polishing is not enough and the pieces of jewelry or a part of it needs to be refinished.
CAN WE REFINISH OR REPAIR ANYTHING
Yes we can. We are experts in both jewelry repair and refinishing. While most jewelers work on only gold, we pride ourselves on our ability to handle any type of job. From a base metal, rhinestone, costume jewelry items to a platinum and diamond heirloom, we can fix it. We respect the value of sentiment and treat every request equally. Don’t be afraid to bring us any challenge, we are definitely up to it!
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
It all depends on the complexity of the job. A simple rhinestone replacement can run as little as $8 and a rebuild on an antique ring can run as high as $1,000. We will always examine your item and give free estimates of both cost and time. Because of our extensive inventory of replacement parts and our generations of experience you will find we are both fast and affordable.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS?
Usually none, however some jobs pose unique challenges that are risky. We take great care to identify these risks and do everything to avoid them. If we think there is a chance of destroying an items we will let you know up front. There is almost always a way to refinish an item so it can be worn with confidence.

It’s true that anybody can repair a piece of jewelry, but to do it correctly, it takes the knowledge and expertise garnered from years of professional training. We have a complete on-site facility to carry out any jewelry repair you can imagine.

The Rofin Laser is the most efficient and advanced Laser Welder on the market. A compact, multi-purpose manual welding laser which was designed to fulfill the specific requirements of the jewelry industry, workshops and institutes. It is an ergonomically optimized desktop sized laser system. The laser achieves excellent results in the precise welding of jewelry components as well as the design and repair of jewelry. The Rodeo Jewelers employs the most up to date technology and equipment. This allows us to not only repair every type and style of jewelry, but it also dovetails well with our 3D CAD CAM system. This combination assures the consumer that their jewelry is of the highest quality available.

PEARL STRINGING

With the popularity of beaded jewelry in the last ten years comes the need to repair some of the wonderful creations artist have made.
No fear! We offer a complete restringing service, from simple stringing to the more complicated knotting of pearls. Both bracelets and necklaces can easily be repaired or refurbished. Don’t worry if you are missing some of the components, we carry a complete selection of beads and findings.
For those of you who can restring or create yourself, we carry loose beads, bead strands, stringing tools and supplies, as well as any findings you will need.


WATCH REPAIR

WHAT SHOULD I HAVE REPAIRED?
It’s different for everyone. The best advice is “how much do you like the watch?” or “Is it a family heirloom?” or “Can I replace it cheaper?” If you love the watch or it is a family heirloom than it is a good idea to have it repaired. If there is a no sentimental attachment than think about replacing the watch.
HOW MUCH DO WATCH REPAIRS COST?
The price will vary with each watch. A simple overhaul (cleaning and oil) can be as little as $65 while new crystals start at $45. There are hundreds of different problems and solutions when repairing watches but keep in mind that whatever the problem is, we can fix it.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR GETTING A WATCH REPAIRED?
We use watchmakers that specialize in different watch types as well as watch brands. Once we determine the type of watch and the problem, we will send it to the person most qualified to repair that particular model. The watchmaker will examine the problem and make a determination on cost and time. You will be notified before any work is performed. The normal time to finish is 1 to 2 weeks.
WHAT IF I DECIDE TO NOT HAVE THE WATCH REPAIRED?
No problem. All quotes are done without obligation. If you decide not to have any work done we will simply return the watch to you and there will be no charge. We keep records of the quote for one year and will honor that price should you decide to have the watch repaired at a later date.


WATCH BATTERIES

Through the years, Rodeo Jewelers has become battery experts, replacing many watch batteries each year. At store level, our trained sales professionals will skillfully replace your watch battery with a factory fresh Energizer battery. This service comes with a full one-year warranty on the battery.
In conjunction with a battery replacement, if your watch is water resistant, the manufacturer recommends that a water resistance test be performed. Rodeo Jewelers has the equipment needed to determine the level of water resistance once your watch has been opened for a battery replacement. This advanced technology will test the amount of pressure that the watch can withstand externally and internally up to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
The costs of these services vary depending on the type of watch (non-water resistant, fine grade), battery type (lithium, silver oxide) and the service(s) performed. The price can range anywhere from $5.00 up to $10.00.
